Calling all hard rock enthusiasts who believe every minor inconvenience deserves a grunge soundtrack and a dramatic exit.
“The Runaway Song” by New York five-piece hard rock band Hunter Road is the perfect track for a wayward escape, channeling raw tension, grit, and motion into a song built for windows-down, volume-up catharsis.

There’s a certain kind of rock song that tries too hard to sound dangerous. The leather jacket is fresh, the rebellion feels focus-grouped, and the chaos never actually cuts deep enough to leave a scar. Hunter Road’s “The Runaway Song” doesn’t have that problem.

“The Runaway Song” trades slick production for pure intensity, driving forward on cutting guitar work and a rhythm section that keeps the tension constantly on edge.

Congratulations to Hunter Road for taking home 1st place on Saturday at Rock The Hall, our annual band competition! A big thank you to Hear It There‘s Elisa Zuckerbergfor organizing the event and to our sponsors, without whom the event would not have been possible.

Extracurricular pursuits: “Music is my main passion, but fashion and modeling is more of a physical expression. The music is more emotional,” he told GQ in 2023. Nowadays, Leland plays in a hard rock band called Hunter Road, who released a song called “Nepotism Baby.” It’s very guitar-forward!

Hunter Road is a hard-rock/grunge-based band, shaped by the sounds of rock-and-roll’s past. Formed in White Plains, N.Y., they quickly made their way from the garage into the New York scene and beyond. Their new single “Daisy” is a roaring homage to 1950s rockabilly and is available for all to stream now!

Hunter Road promises to provide a high high energy rock show. With musical inspirations such as Soundgarden, Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains and Aerosmith, the group describes their style as hard rock, with a hint of grunge and blues. There show is sure to be high energy, electric, and to get you moving.
